Tyre Tracks

The tracks of footprints found in the silt at the Mesolithic site at Goldcliff were made by both adults and children. Experiments have shown that some of the tracks were made by running children.

Tyre Tracks looks at the myriad layers of tracks in the mud at the entrance to a farm yard. The criss crossing of tyre tracks tells of the commings and goings of a range of farm vehicles from Land Rovers to combine harvesters with the occasional bootprint for good measure.
