Barrow Bowl

Made in the round, over a form, from a wide variety of threads which have been gently stiffened.

The inserting of 'Grave Goods' into burials is known as far back as the Neolithic period and still happens today. It is a practice that is found around the world.

Barrow Bowl is based on a Bronze Age round barrow and it's contents of bone implements and shale jewellery.

A resolved piece in its own right the shadows thrown by careful lighting add an extra dimension to the work.
